  9. BlizKick is used to rekick any Kickstart ROM image with blizzard turbo
  10. boards having MAPROM feature (jumper). It has been tested with BLIZZARD
  11. 1230-I, 1230-III, 1230-IV, 1240-T/ERC, 1260, 2040-ERC and 2060 boards.
  12. Kickstart 1.2, 1.3, 2.04, 2.05, 3.0 and 3.1 are currently tested ROM
  13. images.

  15. If someone has a PowerUp board then *please* tell me if BlizKick works
  16. with it!

  18.  BlizKick main features include:
  19.  
  20. *NEW* in V1.11:
  21. - Added SCSIDEV43 module; kick V43 beta scsi.device. No more 4GB limit!
  22.   NOTE: You need V43 beta scsi.device in DEVS:scsi43.device -file.
  23. - MAPROM jumper OFF detection fixed, it had been broken since v1.9...
  24. - Added Free100buf for freeing buffer created by ChipSaver module.
  25. - Tested with Kickstart 2.04 (37.175).
  26. - Four new modules: ChipSaver, RemCards, SpeedyIDE and WaitIDE.
  27. - EXTRESBUF is put into fast memory, instead of chip!
  28.  
  29. - BBlank & NewAlert modules by Jens Lorenz.
  30. - BKMODPATH env-variable.
  31. - QUIET switch.
  32. - KICKFILE * can be used to kick original ROM found on chip.
  33. - LOCALFAST relocates memheaders to fast memory.

  36. - Fixed bug from EXTRESBUF. Now it really should work with on all boards.
  37. - ROM address validity test to rule out some invalid ROM images.

  39. - Support for hackdisk.device!
  40. - Can be run any time (no more need to start before SetPatch on 1260)
  41. - EXTRESBUF feature: Can use memory outside ROM image for "modules". No
  42.   more "iffucient ROM space" -problem!
  43. - Can replace PrepareEmul tool 100%
  44. - Has possibility to plant ResidentTag modules into ROM image!
  45.   (13 example modules included, plus assembler source code for all of
  46.   them!)
  47. - Can restore the original Kickstart.
  48. - Has built-in FastWaitBlit patch.
  49. - Uses Blizzard board's own MAPROM feature (jumper).
  50. - No kickstart file preparation or similar is needed. You can just save any
  51.   ROM image and give it to BlizKick!
  52. - Can make memory on Blizzard board LOCAL, bypass flashy boot of the board
  53.   and speed up ROM boot.
  54. - Doesn't use MMU, KickMem, KickTag, ColdCapture or CoolCapture vectors.
  55.   -> 100% transparent!
  56. - BlizKick is as OS compatible as possible: Doesn't use any additional
  57.   memory (except those 512K and memory used by EXTRESBUF, if specified),
  58.   coolcapture, coldcapture, kickmem or kicktag vectors.
  59. - Works with KS 1.0+ There's really no use for this, except for restoring
  60.   original Kickstart after using Kickstart 1.x. Well, maybe some freaks
  61.   like to boot KS 3.x from floppy... ;-)
  62. - Tested with BLIZZARD 1230-I @ 40MHz, BLIZZARD 1230-III @ 50MHz, BLIZZARD
  63.   1230-IV @ 50 MHz, BLIZZARD 1240-T/ERC @ 40 MHz, BLIZZARD 1260 @ 50MHz,
  64.   BLIZZARD 2040-ERC @ 40 MHz and BLIZZARD 2060 @ 50 MHz turbo boards.
